Why a collective?

I have received strength, guidance and endless help from groups of powerful women.  They’ve taught me about self love, business, inclusion and so much more. I encounter people everyday who are living their dreams and changing the world. I created the GSD Collective to make it easy for you to find and learn from them as well. I have personally worked with and recommend all the women and organizations you see here in the GSD Collective.

Andrea Fleischfresser

Leadership & Career Coach

I consider myself a woman of the world, I have lived in numerous countries and I am passionate about travel. Currently, I’m working with leaders with international responsabilities and clients from different nationalities in their professional journey, developing their personal and leadership skills. Cross-Cultural and career transition have been also a significant part of her coaching and she has been engaged with the international community in Michigan offering powerful and transformative workshops.

Cazandra Campos-MacDonald

Author, Speaker, Advocate, Columnist

Cazandra Campos-MacDonald is not living the life she expected. From Texas to New Mexico and back to Texas (by three tenths of a mile over the border), she is raising two sons with Severe hemophilia with the love of her life, Joe. A former middle school band director turned healthcare advocate turned blogger, columnist, speaker and author, she is currently a graduate student at the Iliff School of Theology and is on the track for ordination in the United Methodist Church. This is a far cry from retiring as a band director.

Her journey into the world of a rare bleeding disorder has taken her to places she never imagined from living in 100% Houston humidity to the desert of New Mexico, changing careers, becoming the pastor’s wife and living her life passionately speaking to others across the country with chronic illnesses and imparting words of hope and encouragement. Her life is not what she imagined, it’s infinitely better.

Girls with Guts logo

Girls With Guts

Nonprofit

The mission of Girls With Guts is to support and empower women with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease & ulcerative colitis) and/or ostomies through the building of sisterhood and self-esteem.

The vision of Girls With Guts is to establish a national support network that assists women in their search for community, acceptance, and empowerment. This support network helps to ensure that no woman will ever feel isolated by their disease. Our website and live events help strengthen the network to bring patients, doctors, and thought leaders together to advocate for IBD issues, while spreading awareness. Through sharing stories and experiences, Girls With Guts wants to give all women with IBD the strength to find their confidence, and keep it, despite having IBD or an ostomy.

Lisa Shackelford – Anderson

Certified Health and Wellness Coach

After overcoming a series of my own life and health challenges that are common to many women including clinical depression, postpartum depression, multiple surgeries, and fibroids, and learning how to create my own individual strategic plan and putting it into play, I have healed my fibroids, depression, and even had a 65-pound weight loss which I have kept off for over 12 years. I have also been off medication for over 12 years. I decided to continue my education to receive my health coaching certification so I may help women to take control of their lives by focusing on and creating individualized strategies that help women be the best version of themselves through health and wellness.

Sara McLean

Sara McLean

Content & Strategy Consultant

Small businesses and entrepreneurs are my passion. I know firsthand the value and strength they give to communities, I know that small business owners do more for people and they do it with heart. I know the drive, dedication, and guts it takes to strike it out on your own and bring your idea to life.

I also know that it can be hard. You are great at some things, like your business product or service, but that running business has so many moving parts and pieces that you might not have the time or ability to master.

There are times where you feel stuck in the mud with your wheels spinning. Where you don’t know where to turn to because let’s be honest, Apple Maps never plans for spontaneous week long construction in a school zone aka while you might have a general idea of what to do… there’s a lot of wrong turns and traffic jams you can get caught in without the help of someone who’s been down this road recently.

I am that bump or tow for businesses and online entrepreneurs to get them unstuck and back on the road to success, and like the Waze app, I’ve been marking real life hazards that are coming your way to get you going faster and with less headache.

Whether it’s integrating storytelling in your email marketing, or building your community impact, or strengthening your brand, or guiding you through building a freelance business from scratch, or even just generating awesome and fresh ideas, I’ve got you.
